ATTENTION: Vermont Open Participants

Mother Nature blessed our region with a fabulous winter…but she sure left some love-starved golf courses in the wake of all that ice and snow.  Sometimes a healthy spring can turn that around, but this year, spring just isn’t working its magic fast enough at Lake Morey.  So, the Lake Morey Resort and the Vermont Golf Association have decided to relocate this year’s Vermont Open to a course that’s had less weather-strain…ensuring that you play in the best possible conditions for this coveted tournament.

But fear not:  despite the change of venue, the Lake Morey professional golf staff will still oversee the entire event – from registration through to awarding the winners.  We’ve been running this tournament for more than 50 years, and we’re taking all that history and knowledge with us to the temporary new location.

Green Mountain National Golf Course has kindly agreed to lend its course to us for this year’s Vermont Open, and their professional staff, along with the Vermont Golf Association, will handle proper course marking, supply rule officials, and score the event.  You’ll find affordable accommodations, good restaurants, and – of course – excellent course conditions here…so, as back-up plans go…you’re in great hands.

Low gross will be on June 15, and the Vermont Open Championship is scheduled for June 16, 17, and 18.

The tournament will be back at Lake Morey in 2015.
