An Active Viewer is used to show how many people are currently viewing the web page.

Add an Active Viewer to the Smart Objects Library

  1. At the bottom of the My Smart Objects Library pane, click New...

  2. In the Create Smart Object dialog, click Active Viewers.

  3. Click OK.

Create an Active Viewer

  1. In the Active Users Styles pane on the left, select a style.

  1. In the Styles pane on the right:

  • Type a name for the Active Viewer.

  • Assign the object to a Smart Objects Library Profile from the drop-down list, e.g., My Smart Objects.

  • Optional: To prevent others from embedding your Active Viewer object into their websites, type your domain URL into the Filter Offsite text box.

  • Select the Number of Digits to display. By default the Active Viewer displays four digits.

  • Select an Email Frequency to specify how often you want to be notified of the count. By default you will receive email notification each time the counter increases by a multiple of 1000.

 

  1. Click Create.

    Your Active Viewer is listed in the Smart Objects Library.

To edit your Active Viewer

  1. Select it in the Smart Objects Library pane, and click Edit.

  2. Make your changes and click Save.

Add your Active Viewer to a web page

  1. Open the site page on which you want to insert your Active Viewer.

  2. Log into Serif Web Resources, select your Active Viewer in the Smart Objects Library.

  3. Click Insert.

  4.  Position the cursor where you want the Active Viewer to appear on the page, then click the mouse. The Active Viewer will be positioned on the page at default size.

  5. Preview your site in a web browser.
