Add a Poll to the Smart Objects Library

  1. At the bottom of the My Smart Objects Library pane, click New...

  2. In the Create Smart Object dialog, click Poll.

  3. Click OK.

Create a Poll

  1. In the Poll Question pane on the left, type your poll question.

  1. In the Poll Answers pane, type the voting options you want to offer.

  1. In the Name pane on the right:

  • Type a name for the Poll.

  • Assign the object to a Smart Objects Library Profile from the drop-down list, e.g., My Smart Objects.

  • Adjust the appearance of the Poll (title colour, font style and size).

  • Optional: Uncheck Preview colours to disable coloured previews.

  • Optional: To prevent others from embedding your Poll into their websites, type your domain URL into the Filter Offsite text box.

  • Select Filter Daily Duplicates to ensure that any multiple votes made by the same visitor in one day are only counted as a single votes.

 

  1. Click Create.

    Your Poll is listed in the Smart Objects Library.

To edit your Poll

  1. Select it in the Smart Objects Library pane, and click Edit.

  2. Make your changes and click Save.

Add your Poll to a web page

  1. Open the site page on which you want to insert your Poll.

  2. Log into Serif Web Resources, select your Poll in the Smart Objects Library.

  3. Click Insert.

  4.  Position the cursor where you want the Poll to appear on the page, then click the mouse. The Poll will be positioned on the page at default size.

  5. Preview your site in a web browser.

Manage your Poll

  • To zero the votes for a specific voting option, click the Click here to zero the votes for this option link

  • To reset the entire poll, click the Reset All button.

  • Click Exit to return to the Smart Objects Library.
