A Shout box is a web-based instant messenger, acting as an interactive chat window similar to Windows Messenger, allowing your web visitors to chat amongst themselves.
At the bottom of the My Smart Objects Library pane, click New...
In the Create Smart Object dialog, click Shout Box.
Click OK.
In the Styles pane on the right:
Type a name for the Shout Box.
Assign the object to a Smart Objects Library Profile, e.g., My Smart Objects.
Adjust the appearance
of the Shout Box text (title and text colour, font style and size, and
border colour and thickness).
The Preview pane updates as you make your
changes.

Optional: Uncheck Preview colours to switch off coloured previews—your object will display in the Preview pane in black and white.
Optional: To prevent others from embedding your Shout Box object into their websites, type your domain URL into the Filter Offsite text box.
Optional: Uncheck Display Smileys to disable the use of in-line 'smiley' graphics.
Optional: Check Allow Images to enable the use of HTML image tags. E.g., <img src=http://www.domain.com/image.jpg>

Click Create.
Your Shout Box is listed in the Smart Objects
Library.
Select it in the Smart Objects Library pane, and click Edit.
Make your changes and click Save.
Select it in the Smart Objects Library pane, and click Delete.
Open the site page
on which you want to insert your Shout Box object.
(This page must be included in your main site navigation.)
Log into Serif Web Resources, select your Shout Box in the Smart Objects Library.
Click Insert.
To insert the Shout Box at default size, position
the cursor where you want the object to appear on the page, then click
the mouse.

Click and drag on your page to set the size of the Shout Box object.
Preview your site in a web browser.
Monitor shouts in the Shout Box Log dialog—you can remove unwanted lines of text by pressing the Delete key or to clear all, click Clear All.
