|The key highlights for week commencing 25th March 2018 have been summarised below:
1. Over in Anglia, 90002 was dragged from Crown Point to Bounds Green on the morning of the 30/3/18 by 57002, which also had 82102 in the consist. The light engine movement went via Ely, Stevenage and the Hertford North Loop. In addition, 90034 continued to be on hire to GA this week and remained in the Ilford area.
2. DB Cargo and Freightliner 90s were in action this week on their booked intermodal freight trains. The loco's were 90041 & 90048; 90024 & 90036 and 90045 & 90049, which operated 4M25, 4M27, 4M49, 4S44, 4S45 and 4S47 for most of the week.
3. Virgin Trains East Coast continued to hire DB Cargo 90s this week for use on MK4s. The loco's on hire included 90018 and 90029, which worked a mixture of services for all or part of the week to both Leeds and Newark Northgate.
4.. Freightliner class 90s continued to be hired by GBRF for use on the Caledonian sleepers this week. The main loco's in action on the beds were 90046 and 90047. However, 90043 went on hire towards the end of the week, but remained spare at Willesden. The other 90s performed a combination of 1S26, 1M11, 5S26, 5M11, 1C11 and 1B26.
5. There were a number of 90s in and out of traffic for all or part of the week, which included 90001, 90002, 90010, 90015, 90016, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90042, 90043, 90044 and 90048. The key reasons for the stoppages included routine maintenance; heavy overhauls; wheelset repairs and tyre turning.
