Hello, my name is Sue. I will be looking to buy my first Standard poodle late October this year. I have always had German Shepherds and have also worked and competed them. I have always had a bit of a fondness for poodles and will be treating myself to my first one in the next few weeks. I am trying to do as much research as possible into health disorders etc and grooming (which I am really looking forward to). Can anybody advise of any really good potential litters due in the next couple of months. Sue Smile

Hi Sue,

There is a new Standard Poodle Club Forum, which has recently started at:
http://standardpoodleclub.forumotion.co.uk/login
The reason for this is that it has more specific categories, among other things. It's not hard to register. I hope more people do!

I can suggest you Google 'Standard Poodle Club' as there is a link to 'Puppies for Sale'. Also, the Kennel Club may have some links. There are other club members better suited to answer your question. They may not be looking on this version of the forum as frequently now. You can find out contact details for Club representatives (nice people, even if you haven't joined the club, which is only 6 pounds!) on the club website.

Standard Poodles are excellent dogs! Congratulations for choosing such a wonderful breed!

Please send me a message if I've confused you!

- Pam
