Good morning and welcome to the forum! Very Happy

What is normal for one bitch is not necessarily normal for another. I've not experienced a show lasting more than about 14 days, so it may be best to check this out with your vet. As it's her first season, there's unfortunately nothing to compare it against, but he should be able to examine her and determine whether there is any underlying problem or whether this is just likely to be her "normal" and at least you'll know what to expect next time!

Hi Charlie,

Very often the first season is the worst. I wouldn't worry just yet. Give her another couple of days. I would give her some Sepia or Pulsatilla - which should clean up any disorder quickly. If she is showing any signs of being off her food or being unwell infection can be to blame so then I would say check with the vet.

all the best

Just read the bit about the pants - that worries me as people I have known to use these things have had trouble. It is far better to leave these bit to the air as nature intended, in my opinion.
