LGBT: LAKE GENEVA BAR TOUR (by bicycle)
On Saturday, September 16th we will meet in downtown Lake Geneva for our annual circum-navigational bike/bar ride around the lake!
Here’s ‘just the facts’:
THIS IS AN ALL DAY EVENT – START time depends on what you want to do:
Want some BREAKFAST before the ride? We will meet for coffee/light breakfast at Starbucks (885 W. Main Street, Lake Geneva) around 9/9:30a.
No Breakfast: Just want to ride? We’ll meet in the parking lot behind Champs (747 W. Main Street) READY TO RIDE at 11:15am.
THIS RIDE IS SOCIAL! The purpose is to be outside, enjoy the company of friends in good scenery with a bit of biking and beverages in between.
PARKING: Parking fees in the metered parking stalls are in effect and enforced daily 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Sunday. Parking at the Sage Street and Eastview/Dunn Field parking lots is free, year-round.
The ride is approximately 21 miles along a rolling landscape: some of the landscape is gentle, a small bit of it is not, all of it makes for a fun ride.
There are 5 pubs for us to rest our pedals – although we try to stop at them all, the total number of stops is a fluid evaluation of the fun had at each stop.
We will have lunch at either pub stop 3 or 4, depending on the hunger level of the group.
The ANNUAL GROUP PICTURE will be taken in front of the lake at our favorite stop.
We end the day ~6:30p at a restaurant for dinner and chuckles of the day’s events.
NOT FOND OF BIKING BUT STILL WANT TO HAVE FUN ? ? NOT TO WORRY!!!
There are lots of ways you can still join this group:
1) Bring your motorcycle --- leather is just as fun as lycra!
2) Rent a moped!! (if you can find one, let me know and I’ll help promote it to others for you!)
3) Drive it!! If you think you can offer “sag” assistance to your biking buddies in the unlikely event that something unexpected happens, you’re pretty much guaranteed that someone will buy you a beverage of your choice out of gratitude!!
I’M IN!!! WHERE DO I SIGN?
Look for the invitation to be posted to GroupSpace in the near future. It’s important that you reply to that electronic invitation so we don’t leave without you. If you’re not technically inclined, you can also just toss an email my way (email@example.com) or give me a call: 847.732.4804.
Come join us to celebrate the end of summer and welcome in the Fall Fun!!!

For many skiers and snowboarders, a winter holiday in Mayrhofen starts with a single question: where first? How about the Penken mountain, or maybe the Rastkogel, or the Eggalm, the Ahorn or even the Hintertux Glacier, the only ski resort in Austria open 365 days a year? During the winter months these diverse peaks, ridges, resorts and mountains fuse together to form the Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 with almost 200 kilometres of pistes catering for skiers and boarders of all ages, abilities and ambitions.
And, last but by no means least, Mayrhofen is famous for its après-ski. Some of the top locations for partying the are the Harakiri-Bar, Mo's Café, theIcebar and the Elchbar at the top of the Penkenbahn cable car.

Escape to Margaritaville, more than a musical, it’s a way of life.
Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the ocean’s warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of.
Featuring both original songs and your most-loved Jimmy Buffet classics, this new musical is the story of a part-time bartender, part-time singer, and full-time charmer named Tully who thinks he’s got life all figured out. Until a beautiful career-minded tourist steals his heart and makes him question everything.
