Due to health and safety concerns caused by heavy snow, it is sometimes necessary to close the college.
If Moat Community College has to close due to adverse weather conditions there are three ways that we will let you and parents know about any possible closure.
If the college has to close during the school day students will be told that if, for any reason, they are unable to go home or to a family member’s home they are able to stay in college until the normal leaving time. Staff that live locally and are able to support the supervision of any such students will be greatly appreciated.
IF YOU DO NOT HEAR OR READ AN ANNOUNCEMENT, THE COLLEGE WILL DEFINITELY BE OPEN AS USUAL.
Students at Moat are currently using 'beta' software called Kodu from Microsoft that allows them to create computer games using only an xbox360 controller.
They have been accepted on to this trial scheme by Microsoft Research Labs in order to help shape the development of this exciting new system.
