Company fined after uncontrolled fire
Vertellus Specialties UK Limited has today been fined after an uncontrolled fire at the company’s Seal Sands premises in Middlesbrough.

The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) require that areas where accidental releases of dangerous substances could occur are identified and classified according to the likelihood of the formation of a flammable atmosphere.

Contractor fined after worker injured in cable strike
A Helensburgh-based contracting company has been fined after a worker hit an underground cable and suffered burns to his hands and face whilst working on a primary school refurbishment project.
