The Scouts had a fixed menu to prepare on an open fire, their Garlic Bread, Chicken Stew and Cinnamon Apples went down a treat with the Judge, our DC Steve Broadhurst. Our GSL was pleased with the success and thought the Scouts had prepared a good meal. The Scouts had to cook a top quality meal as

It is with sadness that we have to report that the HQ was broken into Thursday Night/Friday Morning (26/27th May) and a number of items of camping equipment stolen we estimate around £5-600 worth of tents have been taken along with some other items.

The Police have managed to recover some fingerprints so we are hopeful that the culprits are brought to justice.

Sad News
Rev'd. Stuart Ansell, Vicar of St. John's
Rev Stuart Ansell
The Group has received the sad news that Rev Stuart Ansell passed away last night. Our thought are with his family at this difficult time for them.

Everyone at the group has a lot of happy memories of the time we shared with him and his support for the group was tremendous. Rev Ansell was one of those special people who manage to uplift everyone he came came into contact with and his enthusiasm and sense of humour never faltered.

He will be missed by everyone who had met him and was loved by all the children he came into contact with, Silverdale won't be the same without him.
